Vintage Victorian Banded Agate Necklace

A favorite of the Victorians was Scottish Banded Agate made popular by Queen Victoria in the 19th Century. This necklace combines large vintage banded agate beads, about 20mm in diameter with antique brass and matched dark amber agate beads between. These beads were a vintage find (exact age unknown) and have a high polish with striking banded agates with colors ranging from black to warm espresso to cool cream. The necklace is finished off with a 22K Vermeil toggle style clasp and measures about 16 1/2 inches long...a stunning choker style.
